Viber uses your contact list in order to recognize other Viber users. This means that no one can call you on Viber unless they already have you listed or know your telephone number. This works the same way as your regular carrier calls. Your telephone number is what identifies your device. Since the person calling you has your number, there is no way to block them from calling you. Not via Viber, nor via your regular carrier. The best way to block a call is by simply declining the call.
When you decline a call, the caller will be unaware. He will still hear ringing until he hangs up, or until the call attempt times out (approx. 50-60 seconds). You will then receive a missed call notification. Stay tuned! | |
