BlackBerry: Deactivate your Viber account
The Access Code feature was created for identification purposes to protect our users' identity and ensure that they are the real owners of the number that they are registering. Receiving your Access Code via SMS will prevent other users from obtaining your access code and placing calls with your caller ID. The same holds true for the cancellation of accounts. We cannot accept email requests indicating to us wishes to have certain telephone numbers deactivated. There is no way for us to verify that the sender of the email is also the true owner of the telephone number. You can view our privacy policy on the web at: http://www.viber.com/privacypolicy.html. Deactivation: To deactivate your account, click on your device's menu button and tap on "More." then tap on the “Deactivate Account” option. All of your personal information will be automatically deleted. If your device has been lost or stolen, you can reinstall Viber on your new device, using the phone number of the original device. This will activate the number onto your new device. If you don't want to use that number any longer or want to use a new number, once you've activated Viber, go to the 'More' option and select 'Deactivate'. You can then reinstall Viber using a new number. Stay tuned! | |
