You can check if your friend received your message by the status shown next to your outgoing messages.

 For each stage of sending a message, there will be a relevant icon according to it's state. Below is an explanation of each icon:

1. The Clock icon: Sending message
   After tapping on the Send button, you'll see the clock icon next to your message while Viber sends the message.
   
   
2. The Arrow icon: Your message was Sent
   The clock icon will change to an arrow once the message has gone out.
   
   
3. The √ icon: Your message was delivered
   When the message is received on your friend's side, the arrow icon will change to a check mark.
   
   
4. Red icon: Pending connectivity
   If none of the icons were shown on your outgoing message, but you see a red exclamation mark instead, it means your message was not sent. Check your internet connection, tap on the exclamation mark to retry sending the message
